This happens when you come home late. In the late afternoon on your way home from work, you realize you wont have time to make dinner, and you are just so happen to drive through a suburb where you know is the Hungarian Deli shop.

So i did not make this, but it does represent a fraction of a true Hungarian cold dinner i grew up on and very much enjoyed then, and it has not changed.

Home made bread - you can eat all this with your crusty home made bread. Sometimes with some red onion as well.

Liver Pate (leberwurst)

Hot &spicy smoked semi dry sausage

White Speck, which is the fatty part of the pork belly smoked for days in the wood smoker. We slice it thinly, and eat it in moderation. Specially good in a cold winter night. (ok, now as well)

Leberkase - German style, a Berliner/Devon type of pressed meat, smoked and delicious.

Head Cheese - No, it has nothing to do with cheese. Its a brawn made of pork. Its hot and spicy.

I hope you still reading it, its not for everybody, but we Hungarians love it.
