Swedish Meatballs- Home Made (Ikea type)

Swedish Meatballs- Home Made (Ikea type)

Swedish home made meat balls, just like the one you can buy at IKEA. The difference here is, it does not have those “extras” that the commercial (Ikea) version has.

This recipe makes about 50 meat balls.

Ingredients:

500g Beef Mince

250g Pork Mince

1 Large Brown Onion (finely chopped)

4 cloves of Garlic

100g Bread Crumbs

2 Large Eggs

100g Milk (5 tablespoon)

15g Salt

5g Ground Black Pepper

1 tablespoon Vegeta (powder stock)

Mix all ingredients by hand. I used a rubber glove.

Rest in the fridge covered with clear wrap for 2 hours. (can be left overnight)

Deep fry them in oil.

Cook them further in a 200degC oven covered with alum foil for 20-30min.

Let them rest for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and serve.

Serve these meatballs with the traditional (Ikea) Gravy, Potato Chips and Cranberry jelly.
