Greek Tzatziki Sauce/Dip
This is so simple, tasty and quick to make, that you will never buy it again from the Deli store.
Ingredients:
2 cups of plain Greek Yogurt (that’s about 500g)
Half of a large continental Cucumber - pealed and grated fine
1/4 -1/2 teaspoon of Salt
1/4 Teaspoon fresh ground Pepper
3 large cloves of Garlic - crushed/minced
1 Tablespoon of fresh Dill (optional)
1 dash of ground Nutmeg
About half a lemon juiced
Couple of Mint leaves finely chopped
1 Tablespoon of extra virgin Olive Oil
Once you pealed and grated fine the half of a continental cucumber, put it in a strainer or cheese cloth to get the liquid out.
Mix all listed ingredients and add the cucumber, disregard the squized out juice.
Put it in the fridge for 8-24 hours to develop the flavors.
