Honey Garlic Salmon

Honey Garlic Salmon

This is the first time I have tried this, and if you want to jazz up your fresh Salmon dinner I would recommend to try this recipe.

Ingredients:

4 fresh Tasmanian Salmon Filet (about 250g each)

Salt and Pepper

1/2 Teaspoon of powder paprika (sweet or smoked)

2 Table-spoon of Butter

4 cloves of fresh garlic

4 Table-spoon of Honey

1 Table-spoon Water

2 Tea-spoon Soy Sauce

1 Table-spoon Lemon Juice - keep the lemon

Season the salmon filet both side with salt, pepper and the paprika.

I have used a cast iron skillet (use something similar that you can put under the grill later)

Add butter with some neutral cooking oil (eg. Rice Bran) to the pan under medium heat. Brown the butter slightly.

Add squashed garlic and saute for a minute.

Add the honey with the water and soy sauce and lemon juice.

Let it simmer for a minute, than add the fish filet skin side down (if it has skin on).

Cook for a couple of minutes. Turn the salmon to the other side, and cook for another few minutes.

You can add some lemon wedges now to enhance the lemony flavor, it is also visually appealing.

Then turn the filet again skin up, and put it in the oven under the grill for a minute or two to crisp the skin.

Take it out, and serve with steamed rice and fresh salad.

Bon Appetit!

(ps. I don’t eat my salmon half cooked as some prefer, so this filet is fully cooked through)
