Hungarian Spicy Ricotta Dip - “Korozott”
Spicy, with lots of paprika, made with quark, but here we make it with fresh ricotta. Can also be made with cottage cheese if its not too wet. Gluten free.
This is a dish you make up for an entree, or simply when you don't want to cook, and have fresh bread at hand to dip it into this yummy spicy mix.
Should also mention, that this is also delicious with goat quark cheese instead of ricotta.
I used 600g of fresh ricotta, added salt, pepper, sour cream, one onion finely chopped, 3 cloves of garlic, spoon full of mustard, powder paprika, spoon full if butter, caraway seed, minced chilly's, some grated nutmeg, Hungarian paprika cream (piros arany).
All mixed well, and chill in the fridge (if you can resist..) It tastes better day after day as the flavors mature and combine.
