Pretzel
Kids favorite, also very popular in Hungary in the Opera and Theatre breaks. Made with flour, yeast, water and salt.
Basic dough using 500g bakers flour, 300ml warm water, 1 teaspoon instant yeast and salt.
Let it rise for 30-40 minutes, then divide, roll and shape to a pretzel shape.
Let it stand for another 20 minutes for the second rise. Mix flour salt and water to a runny consistency, and brush the pretzels gently so it runs over and dripps a little.
Sprinkle with sesame seed, quinea, and sea salt cristals. These are optional, you can leave one or the other out. Can also use grated cheese.
Bake on 200c for 20-25minutes.
Perfect after school snack for the hungry children.
